Tredecim XIII

Tredecim is a photobook that showcases a visual story of 13 images captured by myself in Whitby, along with the inclusion of Erika Pearse's poetry. Each of the 13 poems links to its corresponding image and collectively joins to create one large poem. Erika wrote from the perspective of a longing omnipresence, wishing Whitby was untouched by man, despite its beautiful historic architecture. The presence wishes that human intervention hadn't tainted Whitby's coasts, and even goes as far as to mock the decaying sandstone of Whitby Abbey and the nearby church's graveyard, weathered over time by the coastal air.
